We are very interested in helping the families in our area and after talking with parents and coaches about some of the challenges they face, we learned the following:
1) Feeding the students after away events can be very costly to parents
2) Stopping to eat after away events can make for a very long night, especially on weeknights when there is homework to be done.
3) Some students eat lunch very early and do not have time to eat again before the bus leaves
In an effort to address these issues the Albany United Methodist Church offers our assistance through the program we proudly call Alexander Faithful Fans.

The Faithful Fans Ministry of Albany United Methodist Church provides at no cost to the parent, student or school everything from full meals to snack bags to let the athletes know we support them and we are praying for their success.  We like to have fun with the teams…We have made Buckeyes when they played Nelsonville to tell them to B~ EAT the Buckeyes ~ Smores treats to tell them to “Win Some More” ~ Trail Mix for them to “stay on the Winning Trail”

The first bags for each team have a card included stating this is from their Faithful Fans at Albany United Methodist Church, we are praying for their success and that God loves them and so do we.

Feedback from parents, grandparents, coaches, as well as athletes has been positive and in our first year we were able to provide over 2800 meals and snacks to the area youth.
